La competencia normal de salto de esquí (K-98) en los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno de 2018 para hombres se llevó a cabo el 8 y 10 de febrero . La sede de la competencia fue el Centro de saltos de esquí de Alpensia , ubicado muy cerca del pueblo de Daekwalmyeon, en el condado de Pyeongchang. El rango estimado del trampolín es 109. 57 atletas de 19 países participaron en la competencia. Los 50 primeros llegaron a la final.
El actual campeón olímpico fue el saltador polaco Kamil Stoch . El salto de esquí fue uno de los dos deportes, junto con el curling, que comenzó el día anterior a la ceremonia de apertura. Llegando al inicio de la ronda de clasificación, Noriaki Kasai se convirtió en el único poseedor del récord de participación en los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno (8 veces seguidas en 1992-2018).

Los ganadores de los Juegos Olímpicos fueron determinados por la suma de los resultados de dos intentos.
